Interesting projects Many other Rails firms do startups projects – often simple stuff for companies that run out of money in a year. At E-accent, we build healthcare, finance and legislation applications for international clients. Our apps do things that matter, like planning doctor's visits to disabled people. Isn't it great if your work makes a real difference? 7 years of Ruby on Rails expertise Many Rails firms are basically rebranded PHP or Java firms, with little in-depth knowledge of Rails, working on startup projects that could as well (or better) be done in PHP. At E-accent, we were working in Ruby on Rails back in the days where we had to explain to customers (and developers!) what Ruby on Rails was. And we do real enterprise applications, not Kindergarten stuff. Plenty of space and alone time More employers nowadays offer cublice-free workplaces with Macintoshes. But in any case you are still crammed with at least 15 people in a room, and you are required to commute there. At E-accent, we understand that productivity requires alone time and space. Our people choose when and where they work, at home or in the farthest corner of our huge office. No meetings, no managers Managers that do nothing else but "manage" other people's productive work, usually in endless meetings, are the nemesis of productivity.
