Umicore Hunan Fuhong Zinc Chemicals Co., Ltd, a wholly foreign-invested subsidiary of Umicore, belongs to the BU Zinc Chemicals/BL Fine Zinc Powders. Producing Fine Zinc Powder mainly used for container paint, marine paint and protective coating, and it is the leader in the Chinese market with 25 % market share.

Fuhong is now one of the largest ultra-thin zinc powder manufacturers and the main production base of this product in China. Fuhong has 14 furnaces, 2 classifiers and 2 coal gas generators, has the capacity of 20,000 t/a paint grade dust, capacity is increasing in order to serve an increased demand from the customers. Fuhong's products are very popular on domestic and overseas markets for their high quality. The current output of Fuhong's zinc powder is 21,000 tons per year.
